 With their recent live DVD, a "Sleeping With Ghosts" special box set and now a single best of it's retrospective mania in the Placebo camp right now. However is a northwhile purchase for several reason. Firstly, it's few 90s indie bands that can pull togheter so many well received singles from such a long and respected career. Then, which is rare for a best of, it does its job. This collection will have you digging out your back catalogue in breathless excitement as you're reminded of how many great songs Placebo have - from "Bruise Pristine" to "The Bitter End". Thirdly it charts the progress of a trio whose secret to success has surely been their willingness to innovate and explore. So wheter it's the raw spark of "36 Degrees" or the stripped-down honesty of new tracks "I Do" and "Twenty Years", this is a lesson in longevity for hopefuls everywhere.

 Con un recente DVD live, un cofanetto speciale di "Sleeping With Ghosts" e ora una raccolta di singoli la mania di guardarsi indietro dei Placebo si concretizza. Comunque si rivela un buon acquisto per una serie di ragioni. Prima di tutto è una delle poche indie band degli anni 90 che può mettere insieme così tanti singoli ben riusciti da una così lunga e rispettosa carriera. Poi, cosa rare per i best of, funziona. Questa collezione estrae tutto il tuo repertorio in un inlcalzare che ti lascia senza fiato i ti fa ricordare quante belle canzoni hanno i Placebo - da "Bruise Pristine" a "The Bitter End". Terzo testimonia la crescita di un trio il cui segreto per il successo è sicuramente stata la loro volontà di rinnovare ed esplorare. Così che sia la scintilla rumosa di "36 Degrees" o la nuda onostà delle nuove tracce "I Do" e "Twenty Years", questa è una lezione di longevità per i fiduciosi in ogni parte del mondo.
